Tax talk...

What a beautiful night to be knocking on doors and speaking to residents.

A lot of people wanted to talk about Andy Wells jumping in the race for Mayor. Some of it was positive and some of it wasn't but love him or hate him, everyone admitted he had some valid points around taxation and the need to lower tax rates for homeowners and businesses.

I spoke to a small business owner tonight that was hit hard by tax increases in 2016. It forced her to lay off staff. Now that is not how you support small business or the local economy.

Time to give people a break.
